World Citi Colleges Partners in China with Guiyang Institute of Humanities and Technology in CHED-Initiated Collaboration

President Raymond Patrick V. Guico participates in the 2023 China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week (CAECW) alongside CHED Chairperson J. Prospero E. De Vera III, Director of International Affairs Service Lily Freida Milla, various CHED officials, seven state & college presidents, six private higher education institutions, and one local college. This significant event took place in Guizhou Province, China, and focused on enhancing educational collaboration between China and ASEAN member countries.

The participants were welcomed through an art show showcasing the convergence of diverse cultures and a video presentation centered on the theme "New Vision for Education Cooperation, Common Prosperity for Belt and Road." The CAECW witnessed the launch of two vital alliances: the China-ASEAN Digital Education Alliance and the Alliance for Economics and Management Education, in addition to the Network for Higher Education on Finance and Economics.

In relation, World Citi Colleges (WCC) took a giant stride toward global academic collaboration by formalizing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Guiyang Institute of Humanities and Technology (GIHT) during the said event. The MoU strongly signifies the commitment of World Citi Colleges and Guiyang Institute of Humanities and Technology to advancing educational excellence on an international scale. Focusing on allied health, tourism, and business programs, the collaboration seeks to leverage the strengths of both institutions, enriching the educational experience for students and faculty. This collaboration will focus on faculty expertise sharing, student exchanges, access to library resources, research, and benchmarking.

Distinguished representatives from various Philippine and Chinese educational institutions participated in this milestone event including a total of fourteen institutions from the Philippines representing a diverse range of state universities, private higher education institutions, and a local college. The Private higher education institutions in attendance include World Citi Colleges, Jose Rizal University, Lyceum of the Philippines University - Batangas, Panpacific University, University of Perpetual Help System, and University of Santo Tomas.
