Why Facilities Matter in Choosing an Aviation School

Facilities are one of the most important factors to consider when deciding upon which flight school to enroll in. You wouldn’t want to get yourself in a school with faulty or incomplete facilities? Especially if it involves an aircraft you have to fly in. It’s important to note that the facilities of a school are just as important as the curriculum of its programs and the skills of its roster of teachers. Here are some reasons why.

Hands-on experience

Hands-on experience is learning by doing. The availability of facilities allows for an interactive learning process between the student and the aircraft. While professors should expose their students to a solid foundation in theory, part of the learning process should include application of those theories. Application allows the students to have a better grasp and appreciation of the subject and lets them fully experience what must be learned. For students to practice their skills and gauge their developments, they need to be in an environment that allows for just that.

Holistic learning

Having facilities makes learning more tangible, and creates activities that promote character-building. The use of facilities for course-related activities allows the student to actively participate and develop his skills. Depending on the type of activity, students need an avenue where they are able to carry out what they have learned and improve on their skills.

Solid educational foundation

Getting yourself into an aviation school should provide you the real-life training that you need. Learning to fly requires you to develop the ability to handle plane controls. The planes you use to learn should be up to date and well maintained, as these will serve as your foundation for your future endeavors related with flying.

Some flight schools offer the best classroom training to students, but once these students leave the classroom, they don’t have means to execute what they learned because their school doesn’t have available aircrafts for students to practice on. A good aviation school should have a good number of aircraft that the students and faculty could have access to whenever necessary. It’s a plus if the aviation school is spacious, and can provide a runway designed for training.

WCC Aeronautical and Technological College is one of the premier flight schools in the Philippines with state-of-the art facilities. Situated in Binalonan, Pangasinan, the school’s location provides a private training runway for the planes their students use during flight training. Apart from the wide range of aircraft they have, WCC also owns flight simulators where their pilot students can learn and train before they proceed to handle an aircraft.
