WCC ATC presented research on the development of an AI-integrated aviation communication trainer at the 13th HCU National and International Conference 2026 held at Huachiew Chalermprakiet University in Thailand on July 23-24, 2026.
Ms. Mackenzie Nicole D. Cuaresma, faculty member of the College of Avionics Technology at WCC Aeronautical and Technological College- Binalonan, presented the study titled “AI-ACT: Development of an AI-Integrated Aviation Communication Trainer for WCC ATC Binalonan.” The research was formally evaluated during the conference and was successfully presented and recognized.
The study focused on the development and evaluation of AI-ACT, an AI-driven aviation communication trainer designed to strengthen students’ proficiency in aviation phraseology through real-time feedback and simulated interactions among pilots, air traffic controllers, and maintenance personnel. Using Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR), the system simulated communication scenarios across four flight stages: pre-flight, taxi, flight, and landing.
Presenting the research before an international academic audience highlighted WCC ATC’s efforts to integrate emerging technologies into aviation education and training. The study contributes to technology-driven approaches that bridge classroom learning with practical aviation communication, supporting SDG 4: Quality Education through innovation in learning and training.
