First-year WCC Aeronautical and Technological College students strengthened their awareness of substance abuse prevention and responsible decision-making through a Drug Awareness Seminar held as part of the institution’s 18th Founding Anniversary. Organized by the Department of Student Affairs and the Guidance, Counselling, and Testing Office, the session addressed the realities and consequences of drug use early in students’ college experience.
The seminar connected prevention with student wellness, academic success, and personal responsibility. By equipping participants with practical knowledge, the discussion created educational impact that can guide healthier choices throughout their academic journey. It also reinforced the value of awareness in building a safer and more responsible campus community.
At the core of the seminar was SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, reflected in its emphasis on informed decision-making, preventive education, and healthier lifestyles. Its focus on long-term wellness also supported the sustainability of a campus culture where students are better prepared to protect their well-being and contribute to safer communities.
