Representatives from WCC ATC Binalonan participated in the DOST Region 1 TechGrow Ladderized Training and Mentorship Program held from June 1 to 4, 2026, at Sophie Hall, Marand Resort and Spa in Bauang, La Union.
Members of the Research Planning and Development Office represented the institution alongside Research Ethics Committee Chairperson Atty. Marben Panlasigui. The program equipped participants with frameworks for assessing research projects and guiding their development toward practical and commercially viable applications.
Sessions covered validation methods, start-up creation, Technology Readiness Levels, and Innovation Readiness Levels. Using these frameworks, participants examined gaps in proposed initiatives, assessed their stages of development, and explored their potential for commercialization and industry application.
WCC ATC Binalonan’s participation supports SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure by strengthening the institution’s understanding of technology development and innovation readiness. Its engagement with DOST Region 1 also reflects SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals through knowledge-sharing between government and academic institutions.
