WCC ATC Binalonan brought practical electrical training to Barangay Tabuyoc through Liwanag ng Pasko para sa Ilaw ng Tahanan, a community outreach initiative held on December 17, 2025. The activity introduced participating mothers to basic wiring and electrical safety through hands-on parol making.
Organized by the Avionics Society officers in coordination with the Community Extension Services Office and Avionics faculty, the activity was facilitated by Avionics instructors and student leaders. Participants learned about basic circuit connections, proper handling of electrical components, and essential safety practices as they assembled their own Christmas lanterns.
By using parol making as a practical learning activity, the initiative made technical concepts more accessible and equipped participants with knowledge they could apply in everyday situations. It also provided an opportunity for them to build confidence in learning skills commonly associated with technical fields.
The initiative supported SDG 5: Gender Equality by promoting women’s participation in technical skills development. It also reflected WCC ATC Binalonan’s commitment to sharing its academic expertise through community-based learning initiatives.
